A change of seasons becomes apparent as an early snowfall dusts a mountain top in the Kootenay Rockies of southeastern British Columbia, Canada. In the foreground, larch trees turning into their fall foliage color of yellow contrast with fir trees. At the top of the image, storm clouds and mist rise above the snow indicating that ready or not, old man winter is serving notice.
