A morning shoot with ever-changing bands of fog and provides for spectacular scenery and photographic opportunities in the Kootenay Rockies of British Columbia. In this image, majestical silhouetted trees appear to rise magically out of low-lying fog and mist, while sunlight starts to break though the clouds, providing added drama. This is all topped off by the reflection of the trees on the still waters of a mountain lake. Some have said this image reminds them of a castle- hence the title of this image!
