Description
The end of a day complete with a vibrant sunset arrive at the KWC (Peterson) Building, located in the 400 Block of Baker Street, downtown Nelson, BC, Canada.
The merchants Kirkpatrick, Wilson and.Clements, paid $10,500 for the lots.
lDesigned and built in one year, 1901, it long remained the largest mercantile block in Nelson. At street level, one of the City’s finest grocery stores offered delicacies from afar. The turret, once typical of many corner buildings, is the only one remaining on Baker Street. Arches over the windows on the third storey, decorative brick work and pilasters tie the structural elements together .

An eclectic city, it is a mix of world cultures and architecture, outdoor recreation and art enthusiasts, computer geeks and tree planters. It's economic base is diverse, with a large part of it being tourism-related. The ski area, Whitewater, and local heli-ski and snow-cat operations are a large draw in the winter months.
