Artist's Description
This is the small ski town of Nelson, British Columbia, Canada. Often described as a fairytale town, it is situated in picturesque mountains with a pristine lake at it's feet. An eclectic city, it is a mix of world cultures and architecture, outdoor recreation and art enthusiasts, computer geeks and tree planters. It's economic base is diverse, with a large part of it being tourism-related. The ski area, Whitewater, and local heli-ski and snow-cat operations are a large draw in the winter months.
