Artist's Description
With wings outstretched, and clutching a large stick in his talons, an osprey (Pandion haliaetus) carefully delivers and places the stick on the nest it is building.
These large birds are able to spot fish from great distances and can dive at break-neck speed to capture prey with their talons before flying away with their latest meal. They are migratory birds, travelling great distances between seasons.
